- M. Graindorge, je vais vous faire un examen complet.
Je vais d’abord écouter votre cœur.
Puis vos poumons. Respirez fort.
Je vais tester vos réflexes en tapant ici, sous le genou.
Ca vous fait mal quand j’appuie ici ?
Bon… je vais noter que tout est normal.
- M. Graindorge, I’m going to give you a full examination.
First, I’m going to listen to your heart. Then, your lungs. Breath deaply.
I’m going to test your reflexes hitting you here, under your knee.
Does it hurt when I push here ?
Good… I’m going to write down that everything is normal.

In English we express the near future by saying « I'm going to do something ». It's the same in French. When we want to express something that is going to happen really soon, we use :
present tense of aller + infinitive of the action verb

Nous allons écouter votre cœur.
Il va tester vos réflexes

Attention !
If we need to use an object pronoun, we place it between aller and the infinitive.
Je vais vous faire un examen.
Translate in French :
1. You’re going to listen.
2. I’m going to hit you.
3. Good. Everything is normal.

Translate in English :
1. Je vais écouter ta chanson.
2. Ca fait mal ?
3. Je note que tout est normal.

Chanson (fém.) : song.
